 The DMV unites to thump it out and raise awareness on the gun violence that's plaguing our communities. Through boxing we give an outlet to those who want to let off some aggression, settle differences, or test themselves. Everyone who enters the square is a winner. It takes heart, courage, and respect to step in the square to thump with another person.

 

The co-founder of The Thump Yard is a victim of gun violence which left him paralyzed from the chest down and ended his boxing aspirations. He came up with a way to fuse his passion with his experience as a gunshot survivor to raise awareness on gun violence through a community of like-minded people who come together to thump.
